Ingredients

  • 1 bottle champagne chilled
  • 1 cup strawberries fresh, hulled
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest freshly grated
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar syrup optional, for sweetness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Add the chilled champagne, fresh strawberries, lemon zest, ice, and sugar syrup into the blender.
  2. Pulse the blender a few times to start breaking down the ice and mixing the ingredients.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth, thick, and frosty with a vibrant pink-red color and icy texture.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of cold sparkling water and blend briefly to loosen it up.
  5. Pour the shimmering slushie into chilled glasses, ensuring a generous amount of slush with some foam on top.
  6. Garnish with a few extra strawberries or a twist of lemon zest if desired for visual flair.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best icy texture. You can freeze the glasses beforehand for an extra frosty presentation.
