Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee chilled in advance
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup milk cold and fresh
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional, for added aroma

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Pour the cooled brewed coffee into the blender jar.
  2. Add the granulated sugar to the coffee and blend briefly until the sugar dissolves completely, about 10 seconds.
  3. Pour in the cold milk and add the vanilla extract if using, then blend for another 10 seconds until well combined.
  4. Add the ice cubes to the blender and secure the lid tightly.
  5. Blend the mixture on high speed for 30-60 seconds until the ice is fully crushed, and the mixture is smooth and frosty.
  6. Stop the blender and check the texture; if it’s too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly to loosen it.
  7. Pour the coffee slushie into chilled glasses and serve immediately, garnished with a straw or a sprinkle of cocoa if desired.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso or add a shot of instant coffee. Adjust sweetness to your preference by varying the amount of sugar.
