Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks preferably fresh pineapple cut and frozen
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole, as preferred
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup adjust for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice optional for extra zing
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice for extra flavor, optional

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Add the frozen pineapple chunks, ice cubes, honey or agave syrup, lime juice, and pineapple juice to your blender jar.
  2. Secure the lid tightly and start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Listen for the ice and fruit breaking down into a thick, slushy mixture that looks smooth but still chunky.
  3. Pulse the blender a few times if needed to achieve a uniform texture, avoiding over-blending which can turn it more liquid.
  4. Check the consistency — it should be thick, cold, and slightly granular, with visible chunks of pineapple.
  5. Pour the slushie into glasses, allowing some of the icy bits to settle on top for a frosty appearance.
  6. Garnish with a small wedge of pineapple or a sprig of mint if desired, and serve immediately for maximum icy freshness.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness or acidity to taste—add more honey or lime juice as needed. For an extra tropical aroma, consider adding a splash of coconut water or a pinch of shredded coconut on top.
