Ingredients

  • 1 liter bottle of Sprite soda chilled
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups or a jug

Method

  1. Measure out a bottle of chilled Sprite soda and prepare two cups of ice cubes.
  2. Pour the Sprite soda into the blender, adding the ice cubes on top.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture turns slushy and the ice is finely crushed, about 30-45 seconds.
  4. Check the texture; it should be thick, icy, and slightly frothy with a fizzy sparkle. Add more ice if it’s too runny, then briefly blend again.
  5. Pour the slushie into glasses, ensuring each gets a good amount of the icy mixture with some fizz remaining.
  6. Serve immediately to enjoy the crunchy, fizzy, citrusy treat that feels like childhood nostalgia in a glass!

Notes

Feel free to add a squeeze of lemon or lime for extra zing. If the slushie melts too quickly, serve immediately or refreeze briefly to re-crystallize the ice. For an extra icy texture, add more ice and blend until smooth.
